SAP BW Internet Graphics Service Administration (IGS)
Esta herramienta es utilizada para crear graficas en el sistema SAP Web AS, puede correr tanto en stack ABAP como JAVA, este componente no es parte del kernel por tanto debe ser actualizado o parcheado de manera independiente, siempre es recomendable tener la versión más actual de este componente, la manera de actualizar el IGS está contenido en la nota 896400:
«Symptom
Your integrated IGS installation is not up to date.
Reason and Prerequisites
You have a Web AS with at least version 7.00
Solution
To upgrade your IGS you have to do the following steps:
Download the IGS executable and library patch (igsexe*.sar) for your platform from SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/swd
c). Select: Software Downloads –> Support Packages and Patches –>Browse our Download Catalog –> SAP Frontend Components –> SAP IGS –> <Select IGS version> –> <Select operating system >; or alternatively, select: Software Downloads –> Support Packages and Patches -> A – Z Index -> <Select «I»> -> SAP IGS -> <Select IGS version> -> <Select operating system>.
Proceed exactly like you would with kernel patches (e.g. extract the
Archive to the same location). More information about kernel patches can be found in the related note 19466 in the section «Copying and installing a patch».
To upgrade the IGS folder structure you must extract the file igshelper*.sar from the service marketplace (see above) to DIR_INSTANCE.
More information can be found in note 1028690. After a restart of the Web AS the new IGS is up and running.»

Recibiremos la siguiente grafica que indica que está trabajando adecuadamente, si recibes una página con el error del navegador cuando no encuentra nada quiere decir que algo no está funcionando bien con IGS:
La transacción donde podemos revisar aun a mayor detalle el IGS es SIGS en la cual podemos revisar dumps, estadísticas así como el estatus y gestión del componente:
Solo para finalizar este componente es básico en la herramienta de reportes de BW ya que con esta se realizan las gráficas incorporadas, no tenerla nos arrojaría errores tales como el siguiente:
Pero al tenerla correctamente configurada podremos crear las gráficas como esta:
